Stainless Steel Through Wall Book Return Drop

The Stainless Steel Through Wall Book Drop is a one piece exterior unit that is easy to install and perfect for walk up book or media deposits. The book drop is designed to go through a wall up to 13 inches thick. An optional extension piece will allow this book drop to be installed in a wall up to 24 inches thick. 

This book drop has an upward depository angle to prevent someone from reaching inside and pulling materials out. This design has been tested to make sure that nothing sitting in your collection cart (not included) will be able to be reached. The book drop opening is 17-3/4 inches wide and 2-7/8 inches high will allows for both large and small books to be dropped. 

Made of stainless steel faceplate with aluminum body it is designed for direct weather application. The drop chute has an air block which helps keep air from entering the building.  The neoprene rubber panels help prevent most outside air from entering the building when the depository flap is opened to deposit items.  

Books slide through the panels and are slowed down before they fall into a collection bin (not included) to minimize the amount of damage to your books or media. Please note: Lighter materials may have a difficult time getting past the AirBloc if they aren’t deposited with enough force. This may result in media and very light paperbacks getting stuck in the chute until retrieved or another larger item pushes it through.

While the AirBloc will keep air from getting in when books are deposited, the MagnaClose helps to automatically close the flap after books are dropped and keeps it closed when not in use, even in most winds.

Lock out feature: The depository flap is easily locked from the inside with a knob on the back of the unit. Turn left to lock and right to unlock. This allows you to choose when you stop accepting materials.

Installation:This unit is pre-assembled in one piece making it easy to install and includes installation instructions. To install simply cut a rectangular hole and install, just like a wall or window mounted AC unit. 

This book depository drop is ADA compliant when properly installed. This unit allows for easy, one handed deposits without having to pull down a door. Simply push the item all the way through the depository flap. 

Optional Vinyl Lettering can be selected and will be applied before shipping. If no lettering is needed simple select “No Lettering” on the drop down menu. The vinyl lettering will include the round universal library logo (see main picture for reference).
