Perfect as a rent drop box, payment drop box, cash drop box, envelope drop box or even as a key drop box. This the wall dropbox is made for walls from 2.75" to 11 inches thick. For use in a door DIY modifications can be easily made to work in a door. The permanently fixed small chute measures 5-1/2" wide x 1" high and 2-3/4" long. This initial chute is designed as part of the safe and cannot be removed. The included extension chute allow for thicker wall depths up to 11 inches and slides in and out to adjust to different wall thicknesses between 4 and 11 inches. You may need to cut the extension down to accommodate walls between 5 and 7 inches.
This standard unit can be attached to the door by simply cutting the chute to length and placing the cover plate on the exterior of the door. The cover plate is the part that includes a hinged flap that covers the chute opening. The cover plate measures 6" x 10" and the flap is 2" x 6". The chute opening is 5.5" wide x 3/4" high. The overall dimensions of the drop box are: 14" H x 10" W x 8" D.
