Large Mail Slot for Doors

The overall size of our Large Magazine Door Mail Slot is 13" W x 3.5" H. The size of hole you would cut in the door is: 11-1/4" W x 2-1/2" H. This is also referred to as the rough opening and is the size you will need to cut out of the door for installation. The area the mail will travel through is approximately 11" W x 2" H. This means envelopes larger than 11" W x 2" H will not fit through the opening. Also, keep in mind this is a two piece door slot fixture, which means the two pieces screw separately into the door. The front exterior piece has four screw holes for the front plate to screw to the door and the interior piece has its own four screw holes to attach that piece to the interior of the door. They do not screw in together.

The mail cover flap is 11-3/8" W x 2-3/8" H. This mail slot will work for both residential and commercial doors, and easily allows standard envelopes, manila envelopes, and magazines. This door mail slot comes in 3 finish options: Brass, Chrome, and Antique. Installation instructions and hardware are included. The item will work well as an office mail slot on commercial or residential doors. This mail slot can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

The door slot is made of two pieces, the frame and spring loaded flap, and it includes a inside rear trim piece. Please note, mounting screws are not included.
