Large Through the Wall Stainless Steel Outdoor Book or Package Drop

Our Large Through the Wall Book or Package Drop is an exterior two-piece unit that includes a stainless steel faceplate and chute housing an aircraft grade aluminum body for the interior. The faceplate and front chute is made of stainless steel with the exception of the AirBloc. This unit requires minimal assembly and may require simple framing to fit your wall (detailed instructions are included).

Made of: The exterior faceplate is made of a heavy-duty stainless steel with stainless steel depository door flap, and a stainless steel built-in weather hood. The Interior is sturdy aircraft grade aluminum throughout to include 14-inch four-sided chute housing. The AirBloc is neoprene rubber panels which helps prevent air leakage.

Weather Resistance: The drop chute is weather resistant and angled with a built-in weather hood shields to help protect from rain and snow. The spring- loaded depository door will not blow open in most winds. To help prevent additional elements from entering caulking on the inside edges of the faceplate and weather stripping around door create increased protection from inclement weather.

Air Draft Prevention: To help prevent air from entering the drop opening the air block system helps to eliminate drafts when item are deposited into the drop opening.

Theft Deterrence: The angled drop chute of the external shroud and length of the internal slide chute along with the AirBloc system work to help prevent reaching inside through the depository door and block theft of materials with a claw apparatus. The angle of the external shroud also acts as a deterrent to pouring liquids into the unit.

Lockout lever: The easy to operate “quick lock” system allows one to lock the depository door with a simple “Open/Close” lever. Simple close the lever during times when despots are not being accepted, or after hours, etc.

ADA Compliancy: When properly installed according to the instructions and ADA regulations this drop slot is ADA compliant.

Optional Vinyl Lettering can be selected. If no lettering is needed simple select “No Lettering” on the drop down menu. The "Books" lettering will include the round universal library logo (see main picture for reference). Or you can select custom lettering up to 15 characters.
