Very well built! The tension on the hinge/spring is a bit too stiff, hopefully over time it will ease up🤞
Jo, Glad to hear you love the mail slot. Yes the spring hinge is stiff but for a really good reason. It is built to help prevent bugs, or air from getting in. With a tight spring hinge the door can be pushed in to accept mail but snaps back to hold tightly closed.
Although a bit pricey, I do LOVE the new box! I paid a carpenter install it. I especially like that the opening is large enough to accommodate my medical delivery pouches and in so doing keeps them secure and out of sight. Thanks for a great product.

This mail slot was exactly what we were looking for. It's big enough for small parcels to fit in, but not so big that someone could reach a hand through. It looks great and was easy to install.

It has not been installed yet, so I don't know it it will be a 5. Steve could not have been more helpful with going over the products, and ultimately locating one in a warehouse.

We needed a custom-size through the wall letter drop box and chute. Steve was awesome in providing the information we needed for our situation. While it took several weeks to arrive, it was well worth the wait. Solid material, well-made. We are more than happy with our drop box and chute.
the product is well constructed, seems very durable. Going through brick wall is challenging with screws, framing, etc. So I had the two pieces spot welded together, slide through easily, screwed to studs, done.
Well made. Not flimsy. Thickness of steel makes this very sturdy. Nice finish. Very happy with the product.

We recently purchased the Through The Wall Letter Drop Slot with Chute along with the Chute Extension. We were pleasantly surprised when we received it earlier than expected. I purchased the standard size Through the Wall Letter Drop Slot with Chute. Excellent quality and fantastic customer service. I thought we would need the chute extension but my husband reassured (several times) that we wouldn't. We promptly received a rugged, thick steel mailbox. My husband installed it and then informed me that Locking Security Mailbox had the best customer service ever. I was a bit confused since I ordered it online. He went on and on about how fantastic Steve is who helped him out. Steve already has a chute extension on the way. Thank you Steve for keeping my husband out of the doghouse.
