Hello, We love the product — it is exactly what we were looking for. Packages from UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon, and regular mail now go directly into the garage instead of remaining exposed on the porch. This is also not our first purchase from you, and we have been very happy with prior orders. That is why I wanted to bring the following issue directly to your attention. The rain guard was not properly secured inside the shipping box. During transit, one edge bent and scratched the “Through Wall Parcel Drop Slot” front panel. Because I had to leave for Europe unexpectedly, waiting for replacement parts was not practical. I therefore straightened the rain guard and repainted the front panel so the installation could proceed. The unit is now installed and functioning well. However, the rain guard alone retails for $89, not including the additional materials and time required to address the damage. Could you let me know what you would be willing to do to help resolve this fairly? I would also encourage reviewing how the rain guard is secured during packaging, as this appears likely to recur in transit. Best regards, Alain Dussau
Thanks for completing change order for my one off request and completing in a timely manner. The box worked out perfectly. Please see pictures attached. The contractors that fashioned my metal fence and gate will construct the holding box so that worked out well. Please see attached pictures.
Regards, Bob
I bought this parcel drop to replace an annoying little spring-loaded mail slot in the side of our porch. I got the bronze color with a black US MAIL engraving. That created a nice subdued look which is still clearly US MAIL. The front plate and door have a nice thick aluminum construction. The door sets perfectly flush when closed. Envelopes and small boxes slide neatly into a box I placed below the drop inside my porch. I don't recommend this for a wall that goes directly into a heated space as it would let in a lot of cold air when opened and I can't imagine how one would insulate it. I deducted one star because as manufactured, the door isn't self-closing. I attached a piece of heavy steel to the bottom of the slide and now it is self-closing. I love it!
