This Wall Mail Drop Slot is adjustable for wall thicknesses from 5 to 12 inches. The two piece unit allows for the extension to slide in and out for walls up to 12" thick. The faceplate which goes on the exterior has a slot cut through which allows items to be dropped down the chute. By pushing the spring loaded door in you are allowed to drop envelopes and payments down the chute to fall to the ground. The optional receptacle can be secured to the wall to allow items to drop into a secure locking cabinet.
The actual chute is 11.5 inches wide and 4 inches high. At the bottom of the chute there are anti-phishing teeth. The teeth act as fingers so when someone tries to phish items back through the slot the wire will fall between the teeth and as the pulls anything back out the teeth will knock it back down. We now have an option for a rain guard. The rain guard option will add a metal piece which slides behind the faceplate to help deflect rain.
You will secure the chute in two places. First through the holes in the main chute body and also through pre drilled holes in the chute extension.
The chute is two pieces with screws which allow it to adjust to your needed wall thickness. There is a plate which goes around the chute that is welded to one of the chute pieces which allows you to secure the chute the wall. The entire adjustable chute and cover plate is made of steel and powder coated.
It is texture powder coated in black or bronze. It can be easily painted to your personal color choice using rustoluem paint which can be purchased at most hardware stores.
