You will not be disappointed with the quality construction of this mailbox. If you have problems with mailbox vandalism this is the mailbox for you. One hit with a bat and the thug will leave hurting. This mailbox is made like Fort Knox. The drop slot size is 9 1/2" x 1 3/4" and there is no need for a guard as the design of the mailbox with the overhang and recessed lower incoming mail plate keeps anyone from reaching down for the mail. If someone had a second wrist on their arm is the only way someone might be able to reach in.
The hole pattern for mounting to the post is 4 holes which are 6 3/4" square and they are 1/2 inch holes.
